Jerry takes the lead in Monarch’s business development and pre-construction services. Having built relationships with a number of talented design professionals in the valley, he facilitates the Architectural and Engineering resources as needed for each project. He has a keen eye for assessing the possibilities during homesite selection as well.
Jerry has been in the business since a teenager, working for his father at Patterson Builders in the Sedona area all the way through college. Graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in Construction Management in 1983, Jerry later earned his LEED Accredited Professional certification granted by the The United States Green Building Council, a tribute to his interest in energy efficiency. Monarch embraces energy conservation and sustainability practices.
Jennifer is in charge of project management for Monarch. With over 30 years of residential and commercial construction experience, Jennifer is a recognized leader in the Phoenix-area building community. Her expertise extends into all areas of home construction, including design and architecture, purchasing, contracting and project management.
An Arizona native, Jennifer was raised in Sedona and attended both Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University Colleges of Science. Prior to Monarch, Jennifer worked for more than a decade with Shea Homes, one of the larger home builders in the nation where she gained important insights into how homes are constructed efficiently and on-budget. At Shea, Jennifer established and managed the company's architectural department which included design and structural engineering services - a first among Phoenix home builders. She has also been active with the state’s Home Builder’s Association, where she served for three years on the association's political action steering committee.
Russ heads up the field construction operations and is heavily involved in managing our projects. An Ohio native, he moved to Arizona in 1985, bringing building and landscaping experience with him from his native Akron. He attended Akron University and worked as a draftsman for a large Akron contractor, after discovering his interest in landscape and construction while in high school.
Upon arriving in Arizona, Russ added skills in southwest building techniques, and later joined Shea homes, becoming an award-winning trainer for the company's large employee and trade contractor base. He gained further construction experience with Younger Brothers Construction and Toll Brothers Construction. Russ has unwavering attention to detail that comes from the fact that he has personal experience doing just about every aspect of construction.
Kim is the company’s in-house interior designer. An Arizona native, born and raised in the Pinetop-Lakeside area, Kim attended Northern Arizona University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. With a background of 15 years in the kitchen and bath industry, Kim helps every Monarch client make important decisions on the myriad materials that encompass their new home. She makes a daunting process fun and exciting.
Kim engages in client and trade contractor meetings to ensure the design elements are correctly implemented. In addition to her design expertise, Kim has a reputation for developing long-lasting relationships between homeowners and Monarch. Her energetic and delightful personality is evident in the enthusiasm she shows for each selection that makes a Monarch home so special.
